The Hair Monologue: Inspiration in a Hairstyle

LEESBURG, Fla. (June 6, 2013) Over the last year and a half my hair has gone through an evolution, with its most recent change being inspired by Glamour Magazine’s June 2013 issue which featured Pop Music’s Pink on the cover.

I have always been adventurous with my hair. I have been known to cut it on the spur of the moment or try a style that struck my fancy all of a sudden. Maybe it’s the fact that my hair seems to grow unnaturally fast- a safety net in the event that a style happens to come out less than successful. However, I sometimes still amaze myself at the risks I take with my hair…risks that I wouldn’t take anywhere else. At the end of the day though, I believe that’s what being a Meiguogirl is all about- taking risks. A Meiguogirl finds that one thing most people wouldn’t expect from her and embraces it. For me, that’s my hairstyle.

With that being said, I thought I would give my readers a glimpse into my hair’s journey to where it is now and, I must say, I’ve loved every look from a passerby, compliment, and “I wish I had the nerve to do that!” comment that I have ever gotten.

Regardless if you love or hate the looks, I want to encourage my fellow Meiguogirls to find their risk…their own style monologue…to embrace and rock it like there is no tomorrow!
