About Michelle “Meiguogirl” Turner

Michelle Turner is a former overseas missionary with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in New Media Journalism, and a certificate in Internet Marketing. While Michelle has spent many years working to further her education, she has also had the opportunity to gain employment experience in the hospitality, education, and non-profit industries.

Having served others in places such as Nicaragua and Asia, and her own Lake county community during her time as the Coordinator of Marketing, Special Events, and Social Media for Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter, helping others has always served as the inspiration for everything Michelle does. This is also the case in Michelle’s latest endeavors.

Michelle has ventured into the world of Entertainment Journalism and Digital Marketing. She has always been very passionate about things such as music and fashion, and hopes to use her writing as a vehicle for helping bands and brands gain the attention they need and deserve, and hopefully push them to the top. She has previously written print articles for the local Everything Lake Magazine about local bands and fashions, but realizes there is an undeniable force behind digital media and wants to harness that force for the good of talented entertainers and designers.

When Michelle isn’t writing, Michelle enthusiastically supports female empowering organizations such as The Pink Rack Project, the Orlando Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners, and a local women’s transitional housing facility called The Ruth House through her writing. Each of these articles share a common focus of sisterhood and empowerment within the female community- something Michelle is very passionate about as well.

So, whether it is supporting a charitable organization, practicing her guitar, attending a concert, listening to the latest record of an up-and-coming artist, going to the beach with her family, or cheering on the Detroit Lions during football season, Michelle is always seeking new ways to further both her personal and professional development each and every day.
